Tutorial Island Is Where You Stop Being Clueless
I started on Tutorial Island like everyone else. You don’t get a choice. It’s mandatory.
It teaches you how to move, talk to people, fight, mine, cook, bank, and pray. Not theory. You do it.
Right there. With your hands on the keyboard.
First, you make your character. Then you meet the Survival Expert. He sends you fishing.
You catch sardines. Cook them. Eat them.
Your health goes up. (Yes, cooking matters this early.)
Next, the Combat Instructor makes you equip bronze armor. Swing a sword at a dummy. Shoot arrows.
Miss. Try again. Hit.
You learn stamina, attack styles, and that clicking too fast doesn’t help.
Then Mining and Smithing. You swing a pickaxe. Get tin and copper ore.
Smelt bars. Make a bronze axe. It’s slow.
It’s boring. But now you know how metal becomes gear.
The Financial Advisor shows you the bank. You deposit everything. You see that “bank” isn’t just a word (it’s) your lifeline.
Brother Brace teaches prayer. You click an icon. Watch your stats shift.
Realize you’ll need this later.
The Magic Instructor gives you a staff and runes. Cast a spell. Feel the mana drain.
Then you walk to the boat. Leave the island.
That’s when the real game starts. No hand-holding. No dummies.
Just you, the world, and decisions that stick.

HMCosrs Features That Actually Help on Tutorial Island
I used Tile Markers the first time I saw the tutor NPC.
It saved me from staring at every rock until I found him.
NPC Indicators highlight quest-givers in yellow.
You’ll spot the tutor instantly. No more clicking random villagers hoping it’s the right one.
XP Tracker shows skill progress even during the tutorial. Yes, you can see your Attack XP ticking up while chopping that log. (That log gives 25 XP.
I checked.)
Ground Items makes dropped coins and keys pop out against the dirt.
No more squinting at the floor like you’re solving a crime scene.
None of this requires unlocking anything.
It’s all ready the second you launch HMCosrs.
