I go to harmonicode.com and click the big green Download button. Not the Discord link. Not some random forum post.

Hook Your OSRS Client to HMCOSrs
HMCOSrs needs to see your OSRS game window. Not just detect it (actually) see it, like a person watching your screen.
I open RuneLite first. Then I launch HMCOSrs. It usually finds RuneLite automatically.
(If you use the official client, it works too (but) RuneLite is smoother.)
Go to Settings > Connection in HMCOSrs. You’ll see a dropdown labeled “Client Type.” Pick RuneLite or Official (match) what you’re running.
If it says “Not Connected,” don’t panic. Restart both apps. Close everything fully.
Right-click the taskbar icons and Exit, don’t just X out.
Still stuck? Check your firewall. HMCOSrs needs permission to read your screen.
Windows Defender sometimes blocks it silently. (Yes, really.)
Look for a green “Connected” badge near the top-right of HMCOSrs. That’s your signal. No badge?
No connection.
